皆さんは、不快な音はありますか？
大部分が不快と感じる音は例えば黒板に爪を立てて
キーと引く音かもしれませんね・・
先日、普段はあまり気にしない
騒音について考えることありました。
日中に小さなお子さんが歩いたときに「キュッ、キュッ」
と音を出す靴で歩かれていました・・
中々微笑ましく、可愛いと思えましたが
深夜の静まり返った住宅街で結構な速足で
聞こえると、かなり不快に感じました・・
普段は、おもしろい靴だなとおもいながら
あまりに気にせずに聞こえていましたが・・
夜中は「キュッ、キュッ」の音が
いつもより大きく聞こえる・・
静まりかえる住宅地に「キュッキュッ、キュッキュッ」
鳴り響いている・・
おそらく20mくらいの距離であれば十分聞こえる音量です。
それは虫の鳴き声のようにやさしい音色ではなく、
すこし不快に感じるであろう音。
うるさかった「キュッ、キュッ」の音も
日中は気にならない・・
「あれっ」とおもいましたが、
こんなにも日中は生活音や車の発する騒音は
大きいのかと・・
この騒音の中でわたしたちは生活していることを実感しました。
シェイクスピアの言葉があります・・・
「テンポがくずれ、音のバランスが狂うと、
甘い音楽も不快なもの。
人の暮らしも同じなんだ・・」
普段、それほど騒音を意識しないのは、
無意識のなかで
不快感を起こさせる音を聞かないように
努力しているからでしょう・・
車や生活音が子どもの靴の音をかき消したように
わたしたちも車の騒音を意識から消している・・
でも、その無意識の努力が
気づかないうちに疲れを生じさせてしまう。
都会に限らず、
人の集まる場所は騒音にさらされています。
音楽でも生活でもテンポやバランスの崩れが
不快感を引き起こすと・・
長い歳月をかけて、
自然のテンポやリズムに適応して
生きてきたわたしたち人間にとって、
その心地よいリズムとは、
きっとゆったりと深く落ちついたもの。
いま、わたしたちは騒音にかこまれ、
常に時間に追われるような生活を続けています。
神経をすりへらしてしまうのは当然のことでしょう・・
ですので、ひとときでも一人の静かな時間をもったり、
大地のリズムを感じられる自然に触れるということは、
心をおだやかにし、
心の活力を取り戻すためにも必要なことなのでしょう。
